Awards/Grants:

Residency

1999 . I was invited to visit the BrookHaven National Laboratory , Upton , N.Y. on Long Island . This , to attend the opening ceremonies of R.H.I.C. ( Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider) which included a tour or the experiments buildings situated around the 3.8 km. circumference of the collider ring . Then to talk with a group of particle physicists about Art and Science , as well as attend a Spin Physics Conference where experimenters related data already collected and goals yet to be attained at the new R.H.I.C. facility. My work is inspired by particle physics , astronomy and cosmology and after retuning to my studio I persued an intense 18 month sculpture making program inspired by the B.N.L. visit which resulted in my latest body of work .
